2016 A Level results

Brooke House is delighted to announce that the 2016 cohort of pupils has produced a first class set of A Level results.

Nearly 29% of all passes were A* grade with the A* - B grades amounting to 63% of the total passes. Especially pleasing were the top grades in mathematics, further mathematics and physics.

The Principal, Mr Mike Oliver, praised both the staff and the pupils for the tremendous amount of hard work that went into producing such a fine set of examination results. He added, “Given that virtually all of our pupils are from overseas and four years ago they arrived with little or no written or spoken English, today’s results represent not only the pupils’ ability to master their A Level subjects, but also their mastery of English. We are very proud of their achievements”. Amongst the highest performing students, particular mention should go to Phan An Thai who produced  A*, A*, A* to read engineering at Southampton and Ning Dan who obtained A*, A*, A, A. She leaves Brooke House to read Accounting & Finance at Warwick University. Hoang Diem passed with A*, A*, A and will read Accountancy & Finance in Australia

Rachel Caine, the Senior Tutor responsible for the A Level programme and Careers & Higher Education stated that “The most pleasing aspect of today’s excellent results is the fact that 100% of the pupils have gained entry to either their first choice or their insurance choice at university”.
